On the other hand, if you want to upgrade to the latest drivers so that you can get the features found in Intel(R) PROSet, I can understand that. I have no idea if there are customizations in your case or not. If you upgrade to the latest generic drivers, you could lose those customizations. Also, the drivers released by an OEM are sometimes customized by the OEM for your computer. You never know when some bug fix that applied to a completely different system could cause a new bug to show up on your computer. If you are satisfied that the driver is working properly, then you should consider not upgrading. When you use the software supplied by your computer manufacturer, you have the software and drivers that they tested to be compatible with your computer. Deciding to upgrade your software is a personal choice.
